Proud to Serve: Detective Tara Edsall

Proud to Serve, a segment on Fox 2 News in St. Louis, highlights local military veterans and first responders who have given both to our community and to our country. Located in St. Louis, Brown & Brown is proud to support this recognition of men and women who have made a difference at home and throughout the world.

Every month, Brown & Brown provides a check to be awarded to the recipient of Proud to Serve. This month’s recipient is Detective Tara Edsall, a 20-year veteran of the St. Louis County police department whose work with survivors of domestic violence has made a profound impact on the lives of countless men, women, and children throughout the St. Louis area. Detective Edsall serves on the board of directors for St. Martha’s Shelter, a shelter for victims of domestic violence and their children. Both in her capacity as a detective and volunteer,Tara Edsall works to help victims of domestic violence recover in the immediate aftermath and during follow-up visits, and is committed to protecting the health and happiness of all people who have suffered violence at the hands of those they loved and trusted.
