April’s Proud to Serve award recipient is St. Peters Police Officer, Melissa Doss. Officer Doss started the Junior Citizens Police Academy, a program aimed at teaching kids aged 8-12 all about police work. Successful graduates of the academy are awarded with a BBQ, a tour of SWAT vehicles, and prizes from local businesses.
Officer Doss has chosen to donate her $500 Proud to Serve award to the St. Peters Junior Citizens Police Academy.
