Every month, Brown & Brown awards a check to the recipient of Proud to Serve. This month’s recipient is Dawn Tegeler, a St. Charles County 911 operator with 25 years of service to her community. During her 12-hour shifts, Dawn does much more than dispatch help. Her days may involve talking someone through a homebirth, keeping someone calm in the face of peril, of talking someone out of self-harm.
