December’s Proud to Serve recipient is St. Louis County police officer, Ramon Santana. One of six immigrant siblings, Officer Santana’s mother was deported when he was only 13 years old. With the help and support of his adoptive parents, Ramon joined the United States Army at 17 where, inspired by his older brother, he served as a sniper in Kuwait and Qatar. Upon returning home to the U.S., Officer Santana joined the St, Louis County police force, where he serves our community to this day.
