Proud to Serve, a segment on Fox 2 News in St. Louis, highlights local military veterans and first responders who have given both to our community and to our country. Located in St. Louis, Brown & Brown is proud to support this recognition of men and women who have made a difference at home and throughout the world.
Every month, Brown & Brown provides a check to be awarded to the recipient of Proud to Serve. This monthโs recipient isย Army Veteran, Henry Allen. Sergeant Allen served in Korea andย Vietnam, returning to civilian life after 20-years of service. Heย now works with theย Concordance Academy of Leadership, a nonprofit reentry program that helps ex-offenders adjust to independent living after incarceration. The academy assists with job opportunities, housing, and other issues that often place obstacles in the way of men and women transitioning back into society. To this end, he has founded what he calls the Henry Allen Driver School, where he helps participants obtain state IDs, birth certificates, and related documentation needed to obtain a driver’s license.
Mr. Allen’s tireless dedication to assisting those who are oftenย overlooked has helped countless men and women find success after serving their terms.
