Located in St. Louis, Brown & Brown is proud to support this recognition of men and women who have made a difference at home and throughout the world.
Every month, Brown & Brown provides a check to be awarded to the recipient of Proud to Serve. This month’s recipient, Monroe Yancie, has spent 42 years working as a paramedic and teacher of EMTs who have gone on to work in many of the area’s police and fire departments. Mr. Yancie has taught more than 4,000 students to become EMTs by following a very simple philosophy: Do what’s best for the patient and make sure you love people. It is his love of people that has kept him in this stressful job for so many years and continues to inspire him to teach others.
