Every month, Brown & Brown provides a check to be awarded to the recipient of Proud to Serve. This month’s recipient, Angela Graffen, has spent over 30 years on active duty in the United States Air Force and now serves as Chief in the Air Force Reserve. Chief Graffen is the Vice President of Boots on the Green, a program designed to get disabled veterans involved in recreational activities including golf, bowling, and baseball. As a nurse in the Air Force, Chief Graffen helped countless soldiers recover after injury. Her involvement in Boots on the Ground was inspired by her desire to continue to serve our disabled vets even after their initial recovery.
